SMP260 is Wellav’s new generation transcoder that can transcode/transrate real-time up to 12 digital programs for all content contribution and distribution needs. It can transcode H.264 (also known as MPEG-4 AVC or Part 10) contents to MPEG-2 or vice versa at extremely low bitrate while with minimum loss in video quality. It offers a flexible transcoding solution to support up to 12-program transcoding base on the distribution needs, and incorporates support for transcoding/pass through and subtitles add on/pass through. SMP260 provides service providers a cost-effective yet scalable solution to repurpose their content from different sources and format and achieve digital content distribution seamlessly.
